A BROADWAY WEDDING featuring Chris Rice & Clay Thomson
Two of our favorite Broadway babes are getting married, Chris Rice & Clay Thomson!! They've been on the blog a handful of times, sharing how they empower their relationship & why their relationship is the gift that keeps giving. We caught up with them last week and asked their Top 5 relationship values and how they are prepping for the big day!
"FAMILY As we continue to plan our future together, starting a family is something that is greatly important to both of us. That plan serves as a special bond between us and inspires us greatly.
HEALTH Staying healthy is very important for our professional careers and for our lives in NYC. Starting this journey with *Mark Fisher Fitness* seems like the perfect way to level up our fitness game and help focus in on some healthier eating, sleeping, and lifting habits.
TRAVEL We both love traveling and experiencing adventures together. We met while sharing the stage on a Broadway national tour and perhaps that is what initially fed our desire to see the world together. We’ve been to Japan, the UK, all over Canada and the U.S. including our favorite warm spots in the Caribbean and down at Disney World!
Even though Chris is originally from Oklahoma and Clay is from upstate New York, we have decided to get married at a lovely spot in Palm Springs California as another excuse to travel with those we love.
QUALITY TIME We are both happiest when spending time together. Even though Clay is currently rehearsing for and in a Broadway show while Chris has a busy schedule of his own, we still prioritize spending time together each day. Every night before we go to sleep, we always ask each other what the favorite part of our day was. This helps us experience each other’s personal highs and kind of sync up before going to bed.
ORGANIZATION Planning a wedding and living in a tiny NYC apartment both can be overwhelming at times. We have found our most peaceful moments of planning and most relaxing moments in our apartment have been when we are organized with all have all of our ducks in a row.
Believe it or not, going through the Marie Kondo method of tiding up has been a great experience for us both. We aren’t done yet, but we have created a ton of space by seeing which clothes we want to keep and which we can find new homes for.
We have created a mega calendar with weekly tasks for us to complete for the upcoming wedding. It helps us not feel overwhelmed and makes all of the work feel more manageable. This organization has benefited us both!"
